Best laid plans when arye. I was going to chase a Ash-throated Flycatcher that was hanging out at the south end of Jekyll. But...it was lawn mowing day. That kind of noise and wild bird do not go together. I had to settle for other birds. It was still a good day. Gray Kingbirds are summer birds, on St. Simons Island. I enjoy coming out of the grocery store and hearing their cheery song. It is mid September. They should be going south soon. They are still here. I will enjoy their song a little longer. #CoastalGeorgiaBirding #GrayKingbirds
Life goes on after Dorian passed. We were fortunate that the storm passed by us. So back to the Birds and art.
The tide has been high in the early morning, so the fish get caught in the marsh pools. It is time for the egrets and herons to feast. They gather in these ponds and eat. It is a sight to see.
